Here in the ecotourism destination of Neamț county, we are lucky with talented people, a rich history and culture that deserve to be valued.
This was one of the thoughts we set out on when we started to implement the project Smart Village – developing rural tourism businesses through circular economy and social innovation financed through the Erasmus+ program of the European Commission. The project was implemented between September 2020 and December 2022 together with partners from Belgium (EUROGEO VZW), Bulgaria (Rusenka Targovsko Industrialna Kamara), Greece (Aintek Symvouloi Epicheiriseon Efarmoges Ypsilis Technologias Ekpaidefsi Anonymi Etaireia), Italy (European Digital Learning Network), Ireland (CCS Digital Education Limited), Romania (North-East Regional Development Agency, S.C. Hello Bucovina Travel & Tours S.R.L.), Slovenia (UPI – ljudska univerza Zalec).
Within the project, we developed a training course on the topic of businesses established in the rural environment, in tourism and beyond. It is a guide through which those who want to start businesses can inform themselves and get inspiration. Thus, we want small local businesses to be established, to grow so that the whole community benefits. Because this is one of our goals, of the Bison Land Association: the development of the community in a sustainable way.
In addition to the training course, a guide has been developed to help those who want to teach this course, an educational platform and a mobile application.
You can also find more information about the project and the results on the project website: https://smart-village-project.com/ . And if you have a business, an initiative, a project or any example of good practice that supports the development of smart villages, we invite you to upload them to the http://smartvillage.erasmusplus.space/ platform to make them known.
