Slătioara Monastery

Slătioara Monastery, is the old style metropolis in Romania, being a monastery of monks from Slătioara village, Râșca commune, Suceava county. The church was built of wood, dedicated to the Transfiguration of the Lord in 1947. Following a fire in 1984, the church was rebuilt, making changes comparing with the initial church. Recently, the works of the cathedral dedicated to the Descent of the Holy Spirit were completed.
