Ethnographic Museum at the Grandparents' House

In Crăcăoani, Neamț, in Mitocu Bălan, a part of a traditional household was transformed into an ethnography museum, an initiative of a lover of birthplaces, and out of respect for popular traditions. The specially arranged space, with two rooms, presents various objects used next to the house in this mountain village. Each object that is included in the exhibition has a story. The piece of resistance is the dowry box, the very old, where were kept the authentic folk costumes of the family that owns the museum have been preserved.

Here you can see icons over 100 years old, an old walnut bed, weaving stands, whirlpool, woolen fork, and spindle, traditional rugs, iron with embers, or family photos in which they are exemplified the customs specific to that period.
